A Meteor in a Hurricane
Our daughter is the best at adding layers of disasters when we are playing adventure games. “A meteor in a hurricane is coming! The dark witch attacks with Purple Beard the Pirate!” It’s fun.
The last month and a half has felt like that. As we move toward our June shoot dates our team of producers (that’s associate producer, Steve, recording the soundtrack with Tillie in the photo above. jk. We are still locking down the music for the film) have been putting things in place to make that happen.
It is time to add a tornado to the mix. It’s time for the fundraising for “Augmento Man” to begin. If you are reading this you are one of our most important assets. We will be reaching out to ask you to join us on this adventure soon!
Tillie is one of the best at adding layers of disaster when we are playing adventure games. “It’s a hurricane and a meteor is coming. The Dark Witch is coming with Purple Beard the Pirate to steal our crystals!” It’s a fun way to spend the morning but it can be exhausting. Have you ever felt that way? That so many things are rushing at you all at once that you don’t know how you’re going to make it? It’s amazing how so often at just the right time the right person comes along to help you win the day.
A meteor in a hurricane is how I might describe the last month and a half here at Sugarbacon Entertainment. The hurricane is the thoughts swirling through our brains and the meteor is all of the new information needed to produce a film. It’s fun and exhausting. At just the right time we had two phenomenal producers come on board to help us make “Augmento Man.” Pam and Steve, thank you so much for your insights and support! I look forward to working together to make the best film possible.
It’s time to add a tornado.
That’s right. Our production team has determined that we are ready to start work on fundraising. Soon we will be reaching out and asking you to join us on this incredible adventure. We look forward to having you alongside no matter what great challenges (dragons? colossal squids?) may come our way.
Here’s to adventure!
Andrew
The Future Starts Here
My daughter’s t-shirt does says, “The future starts here.” I don’t know if this is the exact location where it all started. But it wasn’t far from here. It really began in our favorite restaurant in Naples, FL with some great friends. We were sharing an appetizer called “Sugarbacon.” I had only been dating Jeanne for a few months and someone suggested that I needed a nickname. I took one bite, was blown away, and uttered, “You can call me Sugarbacon.” The nickname stuck.
Sugarbacon.
I want Sugarbacon films to be like that. I want our movies to combine the best of the savory and the sweet while making that same type of impact I felt with that first bite of the appetizer.
Thanks for coming along for the journey.
